I love you for who you are – not what you ought to be,
Regardless of all past mistakes, you’re good enough for ME.
I wouldn’t want to change a thing, that brought you to this place,
Regret and pain will help you, to grow and thrive in grace.

God’s roses grow and flower, only when they are cut back,
Humans, too, need pruning – to offset traits they lack.
The process isn’t pleasant, but I promise you’ll survive,
I know you still have work to do, because you’re still alive.

When you’re given “much” – in gifts and such – repayment is required,
Reimbursements to humanity – for all God has inspired.
Talents are on loan to you – coming from ONE source,
To share all with the universe, and firmly stay on course.

The beauty of the gifts you have, are not for selfish gain,
But rather for uplifting, lost souls trapped on this plane.
You need the trials and troubles, to help you get connected,
With others who are hurting, and those who’ve been rejected.

You go through tribulations, to gain a frame of reference,
To communicate your wisdom, and restore the love and deference.
Compassion is obscured for sure, by a sheltered easy life,
You only learn true empathy, in tears, and grief and strife.

Since I’m only human, I’ve walked a similar path,
I’ve had my ups and lots of downs, I’ve felt both love and wrath.
And I found this godly secret – I’ve studied it at length,
That there in all my weakness, is where I found my strength.

Many-worlds interpretation

The quantum-mechanical “Schrödinger’s cat” paradox according to the many-worlds interpretation. In this interpretation every event is a branch point; the cat is both alive and dead, even before the box is opened, but the “alive” and “dead” cats are in different branches of the universe, both of which are equally real, but which cannot interact with each other.^[1]

Many-worlds is an interpretation of quantum mechanics that asserts the objective reality of the wavefunction, but denies the reality of wavefunction collapse. It is also known as MWI, the relative state formulation, Everett interpretation, theory of the universal wavefunction, parallel universes, many-universes interpretation or just many worlds.

The original relative state formulation is due to Hugh Everett ^[2][3] who formulated it in 1957. Later, this formulation was popularized and renamed many-worlds by Bryce Seligman DeWitt in the 1960s and ’70s.^[1][4][5][6]

Proponents argue that many-worlds reconciles how we can perceive non-deterministic events, such as the random decay of a radioactive atom, with the deterministic equations of quantum physics. Prior to many-worlds, reality had been viewed as a single unfolding history. Many-worlds, rather, views reality as a many-branched tree where every possible quantum outcome is realised.

In many-worlds, the subjective appearance of wavefunction collapse is explained by the mechanism of quantum decoherence. By decoherence, many-worlds claims to resolve all of the correlation paradoxes of quantum theory, such as the EPR paradox^[7][8] and Schrödinger’s cat,^[1] since every possible outcome of every event defines or exists in its own “history” or “world”. In layman’s terms, there is a very large—perhaps infinite^[9]—number of universes, and everything that could possibly have happened in our past, but didn’t, has occurred in the past of some other universe or universes.

The decoherence approach to interpreting quantum theory has been further explored and developed^[10][11][12] becoming quite popular, taken as a class overall. MWI is one of many Multiverse hypotheses in physics and philosophy. It is currently considered a mainstream interpretation along with the other decoherence interpretations and the Copenhagen interpretation.

The Citadel

That castle on the mountain,
Stands bleak and stony cold,
A mote of tears surrounds it,
Entrapping dreams untold.

Aloof and unrelenting,
To deceive who would intrude,
It reveals a silent testament,
Like a warrior now subdued.

Old days of war and conquest,
Have diminished in their powers,
To induce romantic daydreams,
Of knights and ivory towers.

Age and time erode the base,
But majestic walls will last,
Though a shell of long lost dignity,
It still emulates the past.

In sun and storm this specter stands,
Steadfast, bold, and proud,
Casting shadows over men,
That covers like a shroud.

Time speaks through this fortress,
That still commands respect,
And has so much to teach us,
Much more than we’d expect.

A Ship Named “Desire”

I could barely endure the brunt of the force,
That moved me so, and completely off course.
My face was wet, my skin was burning,
My legs were weak, my stomach was churning.

I held on tightly, to what I could grasp,
I could scarcely breathe, I could only gasp,
A deluge of waves washed over my core,
Drowning out prudence – on the bow, at the fore.

Torrents of the onslaught intensified feeling,
Assaulting my reason, and leaving me reeling,
When all of a sudden, the world was exploding,
As white-hot lightening, tore through my foreboding.

The thunderous shudders, after those lightening bolts,
Echoed through my soul, with deafening jolts.
My blood was boiling, my heart was on fire,
I love storms at sea, on my ship named “Desire.”
